Notes:   Context 72 is the skeleton of Grave 2014-02. The fill is Context 71 and the cut is Context 125.
The skeleton is oriented W-E. It is fully articulated, with the exception of the hands and feet. The face of the skull is truncated by later burial activity and is highly friable. Much of the upper torso, and especially the pelvis is similarly fragile. Where the bones were not disturbed by later burials, they were generally well preserved, in particular the lower legs and feet. There was a fragment of a tile placed beneath the jaw, but no further head supports were found. A small piece of tile was over the right foot. Some of the smaller bones seem to be floating out of place: patella(?) under left tibia, phalanges in area of pelvis and femur. The arms were laid on the chest, and the head tilts slightly to the right.
The Bone Lot number is 2014-02.
Several holes in the bones, particularly around the feet, were made by souvlaki sticks during excavation.
