Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This context was opened when we explored cut 944 further to the west. The soil between cuts 944 and 946 is the same as that filling the extended western portion of cut 944.
Excavatio of the cut on the west end comade down on a tile cover (structure 960) laying on top of the upper 3rd of an in situ skeleton (961). A pile of bones (Skeleton 959) consistin of two femora (1 adult, 1 juvenile), 1 humerus, 1 tibia, 1 ulna, and 1 skull.
In addition to the bone pile, bones and tile fragments are ixed in the fill above and beside the tile covering (Str. 960)
Once the bone pile (959) was removed, we changed contexts to foucs on the fill beneath tile structure 960.
