Notes:   This is a child's burial which is supine, arms folded across abdomen, superior to the pelvis. The body is slightly twisted to the south (right side). The cranium is facing south. The right hand is laying on top of the left hand. The skeletal layer (967) was deposited primarily over the lower limbs, mostly inferior to the femora. The inhumed skeleton is not centered in the length of the coffin, but more in the west end, with plenty of room at the feet.

In excavating the rib cage, it looks like there are ribs from a different (smaller) individual appearing - they look disarticulated though. What may be a radius from a smaller infant was taken from the rib cage area. Very few bones not from the skeleton appeared after this. Perhaps these just sank into the rib cage over time from above.
This skeleton is located directly next to another inhumation exposed to the south of skeleton 970. The adjacent sides of the coffins were touching so that it was difficult to determine which nails belonged with which coffin. The coffins appear to be the same size even though the southern inhumation (Skeleton 974) was a large individual.
