Notes:   This is an infatn burial oriented W-E. The head is elevated and turned lsightly to the left (north). The arms are corssed over the chest with the right over the left. There is a scatering of disarticulated bone (Skeleton 977) on top and to either side of the primary inhumation. Excavtion to the west of the skull revealed antoher skull at a slightly lower level. The feet were flat against the east side. The feet may have been side by side as both an R and L metatarsal 1 were found in the same area. A fibula was found under or very close to the side of the right leg that belongs to an older child.
The cranium has "cheek pieces," a tile and a stone on either side of the head. The apex of the vault was overlaid by structure 979 (stone tile).
In celaning the cranium before removal, we found a small rock inside the mouth. It may have just been deposited there through natural taphanomic and depositional processes though.
Throughout the excavation fo this burial the alrge ants in the area were a problem. They had nested in the skull, futher damaging it. They seem to have disturbed the west half of the grave more than the east half.
