Notes:   This is the primary inhumation of Grave 2016-07. The individual is supine, head turned slightly left (north), with the arms bent moderately at the elbow with the hands over the pelvis. The shoulders appear to be constricted with the distal ends of the clavicles drawn superiorly and medially. The right hand/arm appears to be over the left. The right arm is almost flush with the stone block of the cist lining on the south side. Left hand is under right forearm, right hand at the pubic symphysis and extended toward the head of the left femur. The legs are straight with the feet flexed, side by side. The stone on the SW side of the grave was disturbed during cleaning. The disturbed stone fell on top of the chest, but does not seem to have doen much damage. The stone was removed and described in the notres for fill context 989. Its triangular shape allowed the right arm to essentially be under the stone. It is unclear whether the stone was placed in the grave before or after the burial of skeleton 994.
2016/06/06: [DCS] More of the metal jewelry (belt?) found in fill 989 is found with the removal of 994 in the soil just beyond the feet (to the east). It appears it should be associated with the tumbled bones (992) rather than 994. A bone pin (spool, MF-2016-53) was found by Kostas near the left hip and taken into the museum by Guy. One right rib bone has what appears to be a bone spur (?) or not fully healed break (see field photo digital_2016_0529). On his left side, near the collar bone, a small silver pendant (MF-2016-52) was found by Kostas.
