Description:   Body fragment of large black-figured amphora.
Decoration:   Fragment A preserves part of figured panel with black glazed zone to right. In panel: body of centaur, standing to r., draped with human forelegs, balancing a hare with stick from over his shoulder. Below him, lion to l. At right, Peleus in petasos and cloak carrying baby Achilles. Above on shoulder, pattern of lotus buds pointing downwards.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., non-joining from body, A mended from many pieces.
