Description:   Cup with shallow convex body, very high vertical rim inset, vertical strap handle from lip to upper body with free lower end. Similar to C-1937-770 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 48).
Decoration:   Brown glaze over all. Shallow grooves on exterior upper body.
Material:   Coarse light red clay fired gray, with few small to large subrounded spherical and tabular white and gray inclusions, and frequent small angular platy and rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/8 (light red)
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining frgts., preserving small part of body and rim, and one handle.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
