Description: | Bowl with low ring foot, pierced by suspension hole; broad shallow body curving up to very low triangular rim, broad inward and outward thickened lip with groove on upper surface. Two slight grooves on exterior of rim. | |
Decoration: | Dark on light slip painted (Imitation Lustre). White (Munsell 5YR 8/1) slip inside to over rim outside. Red (no Munsell possible) slip painted gallinaceous fowl in tondo with rinceau border. Zones of paraller hatch marks on rim. Pale green glaze inside and out and inside foot. | |
Material: | Moderately fine buff clay. Fired pink (Munsell 7.5 YR 7/4) with black and white inclusions. Smooth and conchoidal break. | |
