Description:   Spouted mug or jug with flat bottom, round hemispherical body, strap handle, and short cylindrical spout with rounded edge. Similar to C-1936-425 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat.61).
Decoration:   Brown glaze on interior and upper part of exterior.
Material:   Light red clay fired tan to black, with few small to large rounded spherical and subrounded tabular white inclusions, and frequent small and medium angular platy and rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5 YR 6/8 (light red)
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., preserving approx. 1/2 body, start of base and handle, and complete spout.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
