Description:   Dish with high flaring ring foot with slightly convex undersurface. Central medallion. Straight flaring walls. Similar to plate 6.1:1, Jakobson 1979, fig. 52, no. 2 (Mosaic 2001).
Decoration:   Yellow glaze interior. Center medallion with impressed design of lower half of frontal facing bird bordered by circle with radiating bands.
Material:   Coarse pinkish gray clay with rare large gray inclusions with rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/2 (pinkish gray)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving 1/4 foot, 1/2 center medallion, small part of wall.
Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
