Description:   Bowl with slight flaring ring foot, slightly convex undersurface, straight flaring walls. Similar to C-1936-938 (Corinth 11).
Decoration:   Pale yellow glaze all over except for interior of foot. Impressed design on center medallion with two birds. One bird (swan or other water fowl?) facing right, second bird facing left.
Material:   Coarse pink clay with rare large, platy sub-rounded, red inclusions, with rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving about 2/3 foot, very small part of wall. Glaze chipped and worn.
Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
