Description:   Chafing dish with cylindrical stand, nearly vertical rim, offset by heavy fillet, round lip. Top of deep bowl attached to interior, ending in horizontal overhanging flange. Open-work cut-outs on stand.
Decoration:   Remains of plastic decoration on body: probable frontal animal head, now broken away, below rim, with two erect ears; to rt., large flat mass of hair/mane, its surface covered with incisions.To lt., ear of second animal. Incision on fillet. Brown glaze over all.
Material:   Fine red clay with tiny sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Redder than 2.5YR 6/7
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., upper part of stand, ca. 1/5 circumference of rim.
