Description:   Bowl with low vertical ring foot, flat resting surface very slightly raised above rounded undersurface. Deep body with constricted flaring profile, rising at ca. 45 degrees to ca. 2/3 heighdt, then curving up more nearly vertically, to oblique tapered lip.
Decoration:   White slip over all. Incised on interior: on floor, bird to rt., of which tail feathers preserved; feathers partly scratched, with scraped bands. Floral framing motifs; narrow border of scraped diagonal strokes on lower body; below lip broader band of Kufic motifs, consisting of scribbles framed by scraped lines, with double framing lines below and above. Yellow glaze over interior and over lip, becoming thinner and clear over rest of bowl.
Material:   Red clay (covered by plaster)
Condition:   Complete profile. Five joining frgts., half foot, floor, lower body, 3/4 upper body, rim. RIP with Frgt. B. incorporated into whole.
