Description: | Plate with vertical ring foot, narrow rounded resting surface, rounded undersurface. Shallow wide-flaring body rising at ca. 20 degrees with slight convex profile to squared lip. | |
Decoration: | Creamy slip over all. Incised on interior: in center, crude lion to rt., with outlined head, 2 short ears, incised neck and body, arching tail. No frame. Surrounded by radiating floral sprays, tips reaching lip, between which boxed pendant triangles. Green glaze on interior and overlapping lip. | |
Material: | Coarse brown clay with scattered coarse white and fine sparkling inclusions, numerous coarse voids. | |
