Description:   Table amphora with flaring disk foot with trimmed vertical edge, flat resting surface, undersurface trimmed back slightly. Plump ovoid body with max. diam. just above median. Tall narrow neck. Tall rim (H. 0.058), offset by ridge, widening slightly from neck, rising vertically to flaring lip. Two vertical strap handles with shallow groove down back, attached to max. diam. and neck ridge.
Decoration:   White glaze on exterior and painted decoration. Body: shield on both faces, framed by double black lines below and to sides, shield has straight top edge, pointed bottom, in black outline; central vertical black stripe crossed by short horizontal strokes, framed by two black lines to either side: remainder of shield green. Neck: head profile on both sides and green guilloche under rim framed by two brown lines either side. Brown horizontal stripes on handles.
Material:   Light tan clay with at least 2 coarse black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/4 (pink)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., complete profile, one handle; 1/4 foot, 3/4 body, nearly all neck, 1/6 rim; missing nearly all lower body. Glaze worn.
