Description: | Bell krater with vertical body curving into flaring rim, offset by groove; broad flaring rim with concave profile, with lip inset from rim proper; lip outward thickened, triangular in section. | |
Decoration: | Red-figure on exterior: near right break, head and shoulder of satyr (?) in profile to rt., head bent slightly. Wears wreath, hair arranged in curling locks over crown and hanging down on neck; bearded, back bare. To rt., right forearm upraised. Added red on reserved portions. On rim, laurel to lt., red on leaves, in groove, and on underside of rim. On interior, black glaze with red stripe at base of rim, 2nd on top of lip. | |
