Description:   Mug with flat base and round lower body.
Decoration:   Yellow glaze all over except bottom. Brown streak on exterior lower body, and above it row of petals in white clay. Similar to C-1936-629 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 168).
Material:   Pale brown clay, white at surface, with few small to large rounded spherical and subrounded tabular red, white and gray inclusions. Rare angular platy voids.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 7/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving approx. half of base, and small part of lower body.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
