Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Resting surface bevelled to concave underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot wheel grooved in two degrees. Biconical body with carination set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls convex. Upper walls straight inclined. Tapered lip outturned. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. One miltos covered scraped groove at bottom of handle zone and one miltos covered scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Sides A & B: necklace with scraped groove string and ties; pendants in added paint.
Material:   Fine light gray clay with few fine to small black inclusions, rare large black inclusions, and rare fine to small sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 7/2 light gray
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving all of foot except a few chips, most of body, most of rim, and both handles. Surface has black glaze mostly worn. RIP. Traces of miltos in grooves. Traces of differential firing. Negative imprint of added paint.
