Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Resting surface bevelled to deeply concave underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot has squared profile. Biconical body with rounded carination set at approx. two-thirds height of the body. Lower walls echinoid. Upper walls straight, inclined. Straight, rounded lip.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. Groove just below carination. One miltos covered scraped groove at the bottom of the handle zone and one miltos covered scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Side A: groove at top of handle zone, groove at bottom of handle zone, three pre-firing incised lines between grooves, all between scraped grooves. Side B: groove across half of bottom of handle zone and one pre-firing incised line in center of handle zone, all between scraped grooves.
Material:   Fine white clay withr are medium black and white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/2 white
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous frgts., preserving all of foot except two chips, most of body, and four-fifths of lip. Surface has black glaze partly worn with large red firing clouds. Traces of miltos in grooves. RIP handles and one body fragment (plaster remnants in grooves)
