Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Resting surface bevelled to concave interior with nipple in center. Biconical almost globular body with rounded carination set at approx. two-thirds height of body. Lower walls echinoid. Upper walls slightly convex, inclined. Rounded lip slightly rolled outwards, straight. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular thumbrests attaching just below lip and mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. One scraped groove in lower part of handle zone and one scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Side A: scraped groove at the bottom of the handle zone just above lower groove and scraped groove string of necklace touching upper groove at one end.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with few fine black inclusions and rare medium to large red inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 very pale brown
Condition:   Complete profile. Ten frgts., preserving all of foot except for a chip, three-fourths of the body, one-fourth of the lip, and both handles except one thumbrest; surface has black glaze mostly worn; traces of differential firing; RIP.
