Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Resting surface bevelled in to flat underside. Exterior of foot has convex profile. Biconical body with angular carintation set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls convex. Upper walls are inclined with compound curve moving from concave to convex. Inturned lip rounded and bevelled in. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. Several intermittent incised lines on lower bdy. Scraped groove at bottom of handle zone and scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Sides A & B: necklace in middle of handle zone with scraped groove string and pendants in added paint. Traces of band in added paint just under lip.
Material:   Fne pale yellow clay with few fine to small black inclusions, rare medium to fine white inclusions, and rare large black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   5Y 8/2 pale yellow
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving three-fourths of body, two-thirds of lip, and one thumbrest. Surface has black glaze completely worn. RIP a few body fragments. Traces of negative imprint of added paint just under one lip.
