Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with moulded exterior in two degrees; high, wide lower with horizontal top and straight sloping profile ending in beveled edge, upper a high, narrow beveled step articulated from lower by an angle. High conical stem connected to foot by curve. Tall body with convex lower and concave upper, flaring out widely to an everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with a horizontal groove band between the two handle attachment levels. Black glaze all over. Necklace on both sides with added white paint. Traces of red filling in groove.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with rare small spherical sub-rounded mudstone, few fine black, rare fine sparkling inclusions. Rare small voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving foot, stem, most of body, all of lip except for one chip, both handles. Black glaze and white paint very worn.
