Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and concave undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; narrow lower with straight sloping side ending in moulded round edge, upper a high, very thin ridge with a square profile articulated from lower by a thick groove. High concave stem connected to foot by a curve. Wide body with convex lower and concave upper, flaring out widely to an everted tapered lip.
Decoration:   West Slope style with vertical reeding in lower body, except under handles inscribed with an X. A horizontal groove band at level of minimum upper body diameter. Inscribed running ivy between groove and reeding. Black glaze all over, except for resting surface and stem painted with red paint.
Material:   Fine pink clay with few fine and rare small spherical to tabular sub-rounded black, rare fine sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving most of foot except for a chip, stem, 1/2 body, 1/3 lip. Black glaze and red paint worn.
