Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; low lower with straight sloping profile ending in beveled edge, upper a medium thin ring with a square profile articulated from lower by an angle. High conical stem connected to foot by a curve. Wide body with convex lower body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with vertical reeding in lower body, except under handle inscribed with an X. Two sets of horizontal groove bands, lower a double band bordering the top of reeding near maximum diameter of body, upper a step. Inscribed running ivy between grooves. Black glaze all over, except for resting surface, bottom of undersurface and stem painted with red paint.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with few fine sparkling and black, rare small spherical red inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. 6 joining frgts., preserving foot, stem, 1/3 body. Black glaze and red paint worn.
