Description: | Plate with vertical ring foot, roughly flattened resting surface, flat undersurface. Shallow straight flaring body turning up slightly to oblique squared lip. | |
Decoration: | White slip on interior and overlapping lip. Incised on interior: in center, fish to rt., with rows of projecting fins even from mouth; much of body scraped. Surrounding fish below lip is a ring of floral spikes. Yellow glaze over all, becoming yellow-brown on exterior where unslipped. | |
Material: | Red-brown clay with moderate amount of coarse voids, and cream-colored inclusions, fine to coarse. | |
