Description:   Body fragment of slightly convex skyphos beginning to become vertical at upper break.
Decoration:   Interior glazed. Exterior: Left hand and lower arm of a woman holding up chiton skirt; folds rendered in fine but strong relief line, with randomly placed small dashes. Thick relief line for fingers; contour line; miltos. By the Lewis Painter.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., mended from two pieces.
Period:   5th c. B.C.
Chronology:   Second quarter 5th century B.C.
