Description: | Body sherd showing slightly outturned rim. | |
Decoration: | Black glaze inside, red-figure decoration outside. Some peeling. Preserved the head of a woman facing left. Her hair appears to be blowing to the right. Her garment has a shallow scoop neck, and the folds are indicated by many small vertical lines. There is a possible belt at the very bottom of the preserved sherd. Breasts are indicated by two outward thrusting groups of tiny lines, in the same way that the vertical folds are indicated. Above the figure there is a horizontal band of red; above that an obolo pattern. | |
