Description:   Upper body sherd of open shape, probably krater with slightly flaring profile. Part of root of one horizontal handle at left break.
Decoration:   Interior glazed, exterior decorated in red-figured technique. Fragment preserves right shoulder, part of left, neck and head of draped woman. Head to r. Hair gathered in sakkos decorated with six clay slip dots trailling horizontally over and beyond right shoulder. Clay slip necklace decorated with four clay slip dots. Wears chiton (?) and himation which covers right shoulder and arm with series of ca. parallel straight lines in black glaze. No relief contour lines. Trace of palmette beside handle.
Material:   Fine buff clay with sandy inclusions, added clay, miltos, black glaze.
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., preserving small portion of krater wall and slight thickening at base of handle.
