Decoration: | Decorated in red-figure technique. On shoulder, head and shoulders of woman to right holding alabastron. Head and shoulders of woman facing left. Behind her head of another woman also facing left (?). Beneath handle a circle with a dot in it (part of a scroll pattern?). Reserved band where neck joins shoulder. The neck decorated with black tongues on reserved panel separated by black relief lines. No relief contour. Relief line for interior markings. Added white: fillet around alabastron and dots in women's hair. Interior of neck glazed, interior body plain. For similar theme, Corinth. VII.4. NOS. 136, 139, PL. 24. | |
Material: | Fine buff clay. Good hard-fired black glaze. Traces of miltos on reserved surfaces. | |
