Description:   Cooking fabric flanged casserole (Casserole II by Edwards) with round bottom, squat echinoid body, flaring rim with squared lip, squared flange inside rim for lid; two horizontal round loop handles attached at carination, rising slightly diagonally over lip. As C 1946 135 (Corinth VII.3, p. 126, no. 679, pls. 29, 62).
Material:   Coarse, reddish yellow clay fired dark gray at core, with rare large-v. large spherical rounded black, few small to large spherical to tabular rounded white, rare, at least two, medium-large spherical sub-rounded quartz, and rare fine sparkling inclusions
Munsell Color:   Surface: 5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow), Core: 7.5YR 4/1 (dark gray)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining fragments preserving 1/2 bottom, all of body and rim, both handles, warped bottom.
