Description:   Kalathiskos with flat base, ovoid body, vertical rounded lip. Basket handle attached vertically at lip. Same vessel as C-62-350 (Corinth XVIII.1, p. 174, no 556, pl. 51), and KV968, KV381 (Corinth XV.3, p. 341, nos. 2095, 2096, pl. 74)(Benson calls it "profiled kalathos with basket handle affixed to rim"), but dissimilar profile.
Decoration:   Glazed all over interior and exterior with a mottled red and black glaze, similar to C-2007-26.
Material:   Fine pale yellow clay fired reddish yellow at core with rare medium tabular rounded brown inclusions and rare small voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 2.5 YR 8/3 (pale yellow); Core: 7.5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Six joining fragments, complete except for half of handle. Glaze well-preserved. String marks on foot.
