Description: | Narrow-neck pitcher with false ring foot, tapered resting surface, raised undersurface, ovoid body with max. diam. above median of body, short neck concave in profile, horizontal rim, rounded lip; vertical strap handled attached to shoulder and rim. Both base and neck appear to have been made separately. Similar to C-74-140. See Corinth XVIII.2, p. 101. | |
Material: | Gritty yellowish red clay, fired to gray at core, with common small to v. large white lime, few large angular gray, rare medium rounded mudstone, rare fine sparkling inclusions. | |
