Description:   Amphora with concave base and central dimple. Unven globular body curving up to vertical, low, flaring neck. Outwardly thickened, slightly flaring vertical rim with squared lip. Two broad, flat strap handles, with central spine, attached below rim on neck and on body at maximum diameter.
Decoration:   Matt-painted dark brown decoration. On neck, rows of dashes next to circle (?). On shoulder four open triangles (upper parts of fish?), two on each side between handles, infilled with vertical row of curved lines and spaced out by vertical rows of dashes painted on semicircular bulging. On handle 3horizontal lines on upper and lower attachment. Two shallow incised grooves around junction between body and neck, one on maximum diameter and a band of grooves on lower part of body (H. 0.11).
Material:   Coarse, hard, reddish yellow clay. Common large to very large gray, red and white lime inclusions.

Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts. preserve all of base and body, half of neck and rim, one complete handle, stump of second. One frgt of rim non joining stored inside vessel. Five frgts from 671, remaining from 733.
