Description: | Beaked jug. Flat base, globular body with sloping shoulder and slightly flaring neck. Inside can see where neck added on to body it is lumpy - obviously clay for neck added and smoothed on already thrown body. | |
Decoration: | Exterior painted, maybe slipped. Two bands below maximum diameter of body, below decorative zone. Main zone has motif of multiple triangles which overlap at the top to form a sort of cross-hatching (Buck Hesp. 1964 Motif 44 "Multiple triangles in a row"). Two bands at base of neck. | |
