Description:   Breasted jug. Wide body. Shoulder under spout has small breast-like protrusions. Spout probably cutaway. One vertical strap handle from back of spout to maximum diameter of body. Buck (Hesp. 1964) shape B11 (bird jug or jug with beaked spout on very short neck)
Decoration:   Exterior painted, maybe slipped. Two parallel bands around body below handle. Decorative zone on shoulder has two rows of connected running spirals, which make only two or three revolutions. Three parallel lines around base of neck, two of these dip down to enclose breast-like protrusions, which themselves are surrounded by a series of loops with dots in the center. Handle has a vertical stripe down the center which branches at the base to form a triangle with two parallel horizontal lines which are at the base. Rim of spout is painted on the interior and exterior. FM 118a: S-scrolls, simple type.
