Description:   Fragment of the flat, circular band on top, surrounding the central opening of a tripod kothon. Frieze set between two plastic ridges, with a slight trace of the downturned wall beyond the outer ridge. Underside unglazed.
Decoration:   Corinthianizing style. Panther or lion to right, head missing. Double incised lines on shoulder and in forelegs, wavy rib and haunch incisions, tufted tail, genitalia; contours almost completely incised. Attributed by Payne to Group of the Dresden Lekanis.
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment broken all around. Glaze worn on exterior.
