Description:   Stirrup jar, FS 167. Piriform body, slightly concave false neck, almost flat disk, narrow flattened vertical strap handles.
Decoration:   Black paint. Both paint and unpainted exterior surface lustrous. Exterior wet-smoothed. Spiral on disk; back of handles painted solid with reserved triangle at top; individual loops around spout and false neck bases; multiple stems (5) on shoulder, one in each quarter and three in hemisphere. Band-framed line group below shoulder, line in body zone, band-framed line group, broad plain zone, band-framed line group just above foot.

Munsell Color:   Fracture, interior and exterior surfaces: 10 YR 5.5/1 (gray);
Condition:   Complete profile. 7 sherds mended into 4 non-joining frgts., preserving profile from top of false neck to lowest part of body, missing piece of lower body. Small percentage of total vase preserved. Vase likely burnt before broken.
