Description: | Late Neolithic four-legged vessel. Black burnished ware. Foot is flattened and angled; leg rises in swelling ovoid section, canted inwards above a grooved articulation. Small part of body remains attached. Small but rather deep concavity at top of leg. | |
Decoration: | Face burnished black, rear rough-smoothed. In groove of body-leg articulation and to lesser degree, on preserved part of rear of leg, crusted red aint. Decorated in front with incised irregularly zigzagged "railway track" pattern.One incised line at viewer's upper left edge - possibly a leg foreleg? | |
Material: | Fine fabric, fired pale gray. Surface black to grayish. | |
Condition: | Fragment. Single frgt., preserving leg; broken at top; back fractured, toe chipped. | |
