Description:   Late Neolithic four-legged vessel. Black burnished (ill-fired). Leg broken at "upper calf" level. Leg rises evenly in swelling ovoid section to junction with body. Deep concavity at top inside. White wash inside concavity.
Decoration:   Outside front: burnished pearly black. Rear: well-smoothed to varying salmon, black, dark gray inner body. Outside front decoration: incised pattern of intersecting oblique cross-hatched broad bands.
Material:   Fine fabric. Frequent medium and large subrounded and angular inclusions. Some pock marks. Fired orangey buff at core. Thin, dark reddish-gray surface.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving leg; broken all around at top and at bottom.
Period:   Late Neolithic
Findspot Description:   kosmopoulos K-series, K15 126. "E 35" trench south of Temple E, 1935. Lot: K-series.
