Description:   Sima with vertical face has free-floating S-shaped tendril in relief, placed horizontally, with tapering ends curling around eyes; Attenuated anthemion is added both above and below mid-point of S. Bottom anthemion hangs diagonally downward, pointed leaves curve out, sprouting from tear-shaped center. Anthemion above goes diagonally upward, its leaves curling inward around tear-shaped stamen. Profile of top of sima cut to conform to tendril and anthemion design.
Decoration:   Heavy slip on front face only, Light-on-dark decoration: relief reserved, red eyes with reserved edges. Dark ground.
Material:   Coarse buff clay, with moderate amout of fine to coarser (3mm) black inclusions, fine slip.
Munsell Color:   2.5Y 8/3 to 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Fragment. Preserving right half sima from midpoint of spout edge to right side of tile; missing at juncture to pan.
