Description:   Horizontal undersurface. On face fascia H00.046, large ovolo, smaller crowning ovolo. Anathyrosis on lt. joint with joint flaring to side at ca. 16 degrees from vertical. Top surface trimmed with bevel W00.011-00.025 along edge. Back of sima flares at 31 degrees. Overfired, perhaps from having been built into kiln.
Decoration:   Light-on-dark decoration: maeander on fascia. Ovolo: palmette-anthemion chain. Palmette 9-patal, almost round in overall shape, rounded, slightly drooping ends. Single S-shaped sepal spreads horizontally from base of palmette, ends up. Large shovel shaped heart. 3-leaf anthemion, pointed petals, 2 thin flanking sepals, poss. with red edges. Tendril curls down under palmette, loops up to anthemion.
Material:   Coarse, crumbly greenish clay with fine to coarse black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Near 5Y 7/3
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., preserving complete profile of face, lt. joint; missing pan.
