Description: | Fragment from vertical face of archaic sima with no edges preserved but bit of interior hollow of crowning torus. Exterior surfaces slipped, fired nearly an ochre, on which painted lotus palmette chain, pointed downward. Two-thirds of large black lotus with rounded petal-heart red-brown. Red-brown band at base of lotus with stalk curving off to right, to palmette with 2 rounded petals, red, black, preserved. Reserved heart. | |
