Decoration: | Soffit: red-brown glaze overall for at least 00.07 from front face. Fascia: Maeander IIa, dark on light. Cyma: lotus-palmette chain, consisting of 11-petal palmette with rounded slightly drooping tips, oval heart with center red (?). Lotus with long leaves nearly touching above palmette, pointed central bud or leaf, no sepals. Tendril making prirals below palmette, narrow bend below lotus. Painted light on black ground. Upper cyma: Lesbian leaf-dart: leaf has reserved outline, rest black with reserved center. Angular reserved dart. Note: reconstruction shown in Corinth IV.1 pl. V unsubstantiated for decoration of crowning fascia based on FS-XXXX-6 and FS-XXXX-5. | |
