Description:   Lionhead spout with enormous mane locks arranged in single row, each wit 3 deep grooves. Very low brow with hatching on ridge, raised lid with stippling, almond-shaped raised eyeball with deep hole for pupil. Full cheek. Mane locks carelessly added to head, springing from practically browridge and corner of eye. Larger than other spouts of this type.
Material:   Moderately fine light pinkish-buff clay.

Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving left eye, cheek and man locks.
