Title:   TERRACOTTA MOLD OF A SQUATTING BOY

Description:   Mould for a seated, nude boy. Left leg bent double and pulled into body. Right leg bent with knee propped up and foot resting on base. Left arm supports body with hand resting on base. Right hand on right knee. Long hair; facial features indistinct, head turned slightly to the right. Chubby body with division between chest and belly. Similar to KH 62 (Stillwell 1948, Corinth 15.1, cat. 63), from the same deposit. This mould, or an earlier one in the series, may have produced KT 20-10 (Stillwell 1952, Corinth 15.2, cat. XVI, 4). Handmade from model.
Decoration:   Undecorated.
Material:   Fine, reddish yellow clay with rare, fine, subrounded, white inclusions and rare, fine voids
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Two joining frgts, complete.
Manufacture:   F30 M HM
Period:   4th c. B.C.
