Description: | Lamp with flat bottom, cylindrical body, narrow projecting band at top, broad flat rim, overhanging interior only and slanting down to large fill hole. Pierced vertical lug attached to body, semi-circular in horizontal section. | |
Decoration: | Reserved with black-figure decoration in dull black glaze: on body, bird (?) in silhouette on either side of lup and head of goat (?) right, beyond bird on left side. Rim: two boats with prows facing away from lug, stern curving up and in, mast (?) in center (published as panthers). Curved line on rim on either side of lug, concentric circles on top of lug, three horizontal lines on outer face. Interior reserved. | |
