Description:   Probably lamp with cylindrical body, outward thickened, broad squared rim, not overhanging on interior, concave floor. At least one projecting lug applied to body and rim, in form of triglyph with rounded glyphs, two bands across top; vertical hole through rim and body behind "triglyph"; presumably at least two more.
Decoration:   Reserved panels flanking lug; to left, hindquarter of quadruped to left with long tail rising vertically then turning out and down in loop; heavy incision on hindquarter; to right of lug tip of head and hindquarter of 2nd quadruped directed right, head turned to front, probably panther, with tail making similar loop, incision on head and hindquarter; rim glazed outside, on top and in, with black glaze giving way to red on part of rim and all of interior. Lug: black stripe down each glyph; lower taenia plain, upper black-glazed.
Material:   Fine pale pinkish buff clay with rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   Slightly reder than 10YR 7.5/4
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving nearly half circumference lamp, upper part of body, rim; missing undersurface.
