Description:   Lamp with low torus ring foot, broad flat resting surface, flat undersurface; vertical body with slight convex profile, broad horizontal rim, overhanging inside and out, with two grooves on top. Large fill hole. Deep short nozzle, tilted down slightly from rim, surface flat, small wick hole at tip. Type unclear: Stillwell calls it Broneer Type V ? But no good parallel. Added red and flat nozzle suggest date late in 5th c. at earliest.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all except for resting surface; added red thin stripe at bottom and top of body.
Material:   Fine pale pinkish buff clay.
Munsell Color:   No good match: yellower than 7.5YR 7/4
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., preserving complete profile, ca. 1/4 circumference of foot, 1/5 of rim and body; nozzle and glaze chipped, especially on rim. Burning on nozzle.
