Description: | Try piece. Large flaring foot ring, with narrow resting surface sloping to the centre. Hole in the undersurface of the foot, not in line with the axis of the vase, (Diam 0.016) the hole is fairly neat cut and was probably made after the vase was decorated. Ovoid body. | |
Decoration: | On the undersurface tow concentric circles; Foot is black. On the body: reserved area with vertical squiggly lines and upside down birds. Top is slipped black (fired red) with a single line in added white. | |
