Description: | Cup with hollow, conical stem with flaring foot joining body with compound curve on exterior and small conical depression in interior, body lopsided; flaring rim with squared lip; two vertical strap handles attached at lip and at midpoint of body. Possibly bottom of standed thymiaterion (L. Talcott, quoted in Stillwell and Benson 1984, Corinth 15.3, p. 350). Similar to eschara, Agora XII, pl. 98: 2039 (Stillwell and Benson, p. 350). | |
